Checking accuracy of constructing a model

Visual checking

To make visual checking switch on camera and compare live image of stone from camera with its 3d model:

  • Press button
  • If scene remains black press button

    It switch off black colour of screen

  • Tune lighting to see crystal in scanner well
  • Check comparison of model with real stone:

    • Rotate the stone by rotating buttons in panel Motor with some defined step in degree
    • Stone and crystal should compare well from all directions of view
  • If it is not compare well check gluing of stone and scan it again.
  • If problem remains call to service center.

 

Checking by weigh

To make checking by weight:

  • Make sure the plane of holder is set correctly
  • Switch on Tool by button on top frame of Scene
  • Roll over cursor on the stone's model and see its weight in left top corner of Scene (ct)
  • Compare real and calculated weight of stone. Difference should not be significant: ~0.02 ct for 1 ct of stone for shadow model. For example, a normal deviation should be about 0.2 ct if weight of stone 10 ct
