previous   top   next Creating shadow model Scanning To create shadow model: 1. Open panel Marking-out if it is not already opened: Right click by mouse on blue textured background of the program Select in menu Restore and then select Marking-out 2. Marking-out panel appears. Select tab Process: 3. Select check-boxes in sections Photo-Contour and Model and press button Run: If lighting conditions is different from standard conditions warning message will appears: Press button OK! In this case standard conditions of lighting will be set automatically and scanning process will begin. If press button RUN scanning process will begin with current settings of lighting. It will make wrong 3d model! If lighting conditions is not different from standard conditions warning message will not appears and scanning process will begin immediately. 5. If window Autodelete objects appears during start of scanning that means there are other models in a project. Press OK - the program automatically remove previous objects and start scanning If press RUN all previous object will be saved and scanning will start So, after pressing OK or Run process of scanning will begin. 6. There are rotating crystal on Scene shown while scanning. We recommend press button to switch off camera during scanning. Because it might make process of scanning slow. 7. Wait until scanning is finished and model is created. Make sure new created 3d model appeared in Scene. 8. Save mmd project by menu Start / Save project as .. Problems with scanning If scanning is completed but model is not created that means an error has occurred. In this case call panel DISPLAY Right click by mouse on blue textured background of the program Select in menu Restore and then select DISPLAY Panel DISPLAY contains an information about errors of system's working: Start contour do not match with contour made after scanning on XXX mm - means that stone is fixed on holder bad: bad glued or bad fixed by pomp. How to fix the problem: If stone is glued - re glue it once again If stone is fixed by pomp - check stone is well adjacent to surface of holder; pomp is switched on and works (pomp is switched on automatically while scanning process) Check working of pomp: Check status of pomp in the panel Motor Pomp is switched off Pomp is switched on Listen, working pomp should produce specific noise: zzz... If button Pomp is switched on but no specific noise - it means pomp does not work. Call service center to fix the problem   previous   top   next
