What is the difference between DLL cut and cut made with Cut Designer?
The main difference in the behaviour of resulting cut in DiamCalc:
- The Cut Designer cut finally has the parameters which describe the properties of every facet layer which are not always correspond to any desired standard cut parameters, like Crown height, Star facet length etc
- DLL cut has the set of desired parameters which are usually defined at the stage of project and extra desired parameters may be implemented later by a software engineer, so the parameters of DLL cut are more appropriate and convenient for later adjustments - especially via the automated parameter adjustments within predefined ranges as you can prescribe in DiamCalc Pro
